Our Missed Class Policy

Before you commit to learning English with Mr David, we need you to read, understand and agree to these terms and conditions written out below for my English classes by sending us a message or email:

"I have read and I agree to these terms and conditions."

This policy is created to make your commitment to learning English serious business and to give both the student and the teacher a fixed time schedule to make both their lives and jobs work.
The policies described below go from least specific to most specific.


Level of commitment:

Policy 1: one-off: one single session

Duration: 1 session

Postpone quotas: 0
Replacement quotas: 0

This class is to be paid upfront. Refunds are not issued and rescheduling is not allowed.
If you don’t show up, you lose the session.


Level of commitment:

Policy 2: 4 Pro English sessions @ 50% Off

Duration: 4 sessions

Postpone quotas: 0
Replacement quotas: 0

This class is to be paid upfront. Refunds are not issued and rescheduling is not allowed.
If you don’t show up, you lose the session.
In case you can’t come, you can always call in via FaceTime Audio. So make sure you know how to do that.


Level of commitment:

Policy 3: 1-to-1 for adults

Duration: 12 sessions in 14 weeks

Postpone quotas: 2, OR
Replacement quotas: 2, OR
one of each.

You can miss only 2 sessions and postpone them to the week after your last scheduled session if you inform us of your absence at least 24 hours in advance by phone call or via email. If you don’t show up without informing us, you lose the session.
If you are sick, you have to call us 2 hours before the session and provide us with a doctor’s receipt at your next session.

Policy 4: with friends for adults

Duration: 12 sessions in 13 weeks

Postpone quotas: 1, AND
Replacement quotas: 1

In case one of you will be absent you have 2 choices. You can either:

  1. Use your personal replacement quota in which case you need to call us 2 hours in advance and provide us with the name and telephone number of your friend who will replace you so we can communicate with them effectively.
    Note that if you don’t show up without calling us, you lose the session and your friend cannot attend.
    OR,
  2. Use your postpone quotas with the entire group to postpone this session to the week after the last originally scheduled session. In this case you have to inform us by email 24 hours in advance. Note that if you don’t show up without emailing us in advance, you lose the session.

Policy 5: 1-to-1 for kids

Duration: 12 sessions in 13 weeks

Make-up session quotas: 1, AND
Replacement quotas: 1

In case you will be absent you have 2 choices. You can either:

  1. Use your replacement quota in which case you need to call us 2 hours in advance and provide us with the name and telephone number of your friend who will replace you so we can communicate with them effectively.
    Note that if you don’t show up without calling us to provide your friends info, you lose the session and your friend cannot attend.
    Note that your friend can only differ at most 1 year in age.OR,
  2. Use your make-up session quota for maximum 1 make-up session to be taken the week after the ending of the course, or in mutual agreement with the teacher.

If you do not show up without informing us, you lose the session.
If you are sick, you have to inform us by phone at least 2 hours before the session and provide us with a doctor’s receipt at your next session. Only then are you allowed to use your make-up session quota.

Policy 6: multi-student class for kids

Duration: termly

Make-up session quotas: 1, OR
Replacement quotas: 1

In case one of you will be absent you have 2 choices. You can either:

  1. Use your personal replacement quota in which case you need to call us 2 hours in advance and provide us with the name and telephone number of your friend who will replace you so we can communicate with them effectively.
    Note that if you don’t show up without calling us, you lose the session and your friend cannot attend.
    OR,
  2. Use your postpone quota for maximum 1 make-up session to be taken the week after the ending of the course, or in mutual agreement with the other students and the teacher.

If you do not show up without informing us, you lose the session.
If you are sick, you have to inform us by phone at least 2 hours before the session and provide us with a doctor’s receipt at your next session. Only then are you allowed to use your make-up session quota.

Duration: 12 sessions in 7 weeks

Postpone quotas: 2, OR
Replacement quotas: 2, OR
one of each.

You can miss only 2 sessions and postpone them to the week after your last scheduled session if you inform us 24 hours in advance of your absence. If you don’t show up without informing us 24 hours in advance, you lose the session. If you are sick, you have to call us 2 hours before the session and provide us with a doctor’s receipt at your next session.

Policy 8: Multi-student sessions for adults, twice a week,

Duration: 12 sessions in 7 weeks

Postpone quotas: 1, OR
Replacement quotas: 2, OR
one of each.

In case one or all of you will be absent you have 2 choices. You can either as a group:

  1. Use your postpone quota with the entire group to postpone this session to the week after the last originally scheduled session. In this case you have to inform us by email 24 hours in advance. Note that if you don’t show up without emailing us in advance, you lose the session.
    OR,
  2. Use 1 of your 2 personal replacement quotas in which case you need to call us 2 hours in advance and provide us with the name(s) and telephone number(s) of your friend(s) who will replace you so we can communicate with them effectively.
    Note that if you don’t show up without calling us, you lose the session.

Policy 9: Multi-student sessions for kids, twice a week,

Duration: 12 sessions in 7 weeks

Make-up session quotas: 1, OR
Replacement quotas: 2, OR
one of each.

In case one of you will be absent you have 2 choices. You can either:

  1. Use one of your personal replacement quotas in which case you need to call us 2 hours in advance and provide us with the name and telephone number of your friend who will replace you so we can communicate with them effectively.
    Note that if you don’t show up without calling us, you lose the session and your friend cannot attend.
    OR,
  2. Use your postpone quota for maximum 1 make-up session to be taken the week after the ending of the course, or in mutual agreement with the other students and the teacher.

We don’t teach on public holidays.
